The automobile carburator gave way to electronically injected and turbo systems, and so now the pool heater industry. The latest furnace designs have developed better fuel delivery, resulting in a cleaner burn and less pollution. These advances promote air quality in Southern California, and here in Van Nuys. Heater repair today depends upon continued education and training in electronic ignition, air-fuel mixture, and forced air system diagnostics. The new LoNox (low nitrous oxide) furnaces have completely replaced the free-standing pilots.
