| Tarzana Pool Service Tips
Here in Southern California, the seasons are fairly mild compared to other areas where pools need to be winterized and completely shut down. How do we handle the off-season service? During the cooler weather we will see lots of leaves and sometimes a downpour of rain, and the pools can be inundated. Whether in Burbank, Northridge, or Tarzana, pool service is very much needed during these inclimate times. The heavy load of leaves requires regularly removing them from the skimmer and pump baskets to insure the water stays flowing. We find ourselves utilizing a tool called a leafmaster as it attaches to a garden hose and forces the debris from the bottom into a nylon mesh bag - this we then empty out and continue until the floor is clean. During these stormy times, it may take a few service calls to see the pool restored back to health. For the most part, chemical usage is much lower and the circulation systems should be running only 4-5 hours as the cold water doesn't allow much growth of organisms like algae that we need to worry about during the Summer. On the West Coast, pools are serviced year round, and it's part of the tradition of living here in the San Fernando Valley. Let us know how we can be of help to you if you are your own maintenance person; otherwise we'd be happy to become your new service company. For all your needs, including repairs, we're here to help.
