| Studio City Pool Heater Repair Tips
There are many components in a pool or spa furnace that can prevent the burners from firing, but it is always prudent to consider some conditions in the circulation system itself that may be keeping the heater from turning on when you need it. One such failure can be low water flow. Usually this can be detected by inspecting the pool filter pressure gauge and note what the reading is. A good rule of thumb is that the filtration system should be serviced when it is 10psi (pounds per square inch) higher than the clean-reading. We recommend marking the gauge after washing down the grids and reassembling. For example, if starting at 15psi and over time climbs to 25psi, the unit is too dirty. If more dirt or algae and debris accumulate, the water will move too slow for the heater to operate. In Studio City, pool heater repair services are provided by Spectrum to quickly find the cause of the heater failure, and we find the cause that is sometimes existing outside the heater itself, as in the case of a very dirty filter or a valve turned in the wrong direction. There is a safety switch that resides in the furnace cabin that detects water pressure, and if it does not meet the requirements, the heater will shut down. Inspect the control panel for error codes as this is helpful information to relay to the servcie technician. And keep your pool system clean of debris and don't allow the filter to get too dirty. For all your repair needs, give us a call and we can be sure to solve the problem.
