| La Canada Pool Motor Repair Tips
There are many different sizes and types of pool-spa duty motors in the field servicing swimming pools, water features and spas. And there are many kinds of malfunctions that require attention. One of these is the failure of the Start Capacitor to turn over the shaft. When this event occurs, a humming will be heard when engaging the time clock and supplying electricity to the unit. The capacitor however may be fine if instead a pebble, twig, coin, or broken toy (some of the many things we've found) is jammed inside the volute - where the impellor is housed. The shaft simply cannot turn over and is frozen. Whether you live in Santa Clarita, Sherman Oaks, or La Canada, pool motor repair issues like this arise regularly. For an on-site diagnosis, you can have one of our repair technicians scheduled to visit the property. If the Start Capacitor has failed, it will usually show some signs of a rupture. A replacement can then be the solution to restoring operation. Or dismantling the pump to dislodge the obstruction has resulting in freeing the motor shaft. And sometimes, we may detect that the obnoxious sound emitting from your system are damaged bearings.
